A huge welcome to the Indie Filmmakers Community! We're thrilled you're here.
This is a community where we all pretty much share the same dream: to make a great film (or series) and have fun along the way. This first space is all about getting to know each other.
To kick things off, we have a tradition. Start your introduction with this line:
"Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m here to make my movie."
It's a powerful statement. A bit on the cocky side, sure. But nothing screams filmmaking intention and motivation like kicking the door instead of waiting for permission from someone to open it for you.
Then follow it up with something about yourself. Here are some ideas:
- What film inspired you to want to make your own movie?
- What's the genre of your next project, and what stage are you in with it (Ideation, Writing, Funding, etc.)?
- Have you ever made a movie or shot something cool? Share it with us!
- Who’s your favorite director?
- What’s your guilty pleasure movie to watch?
- What motivates you to keep going?

Hola, mi nombre es Marina Gómez y estoy aquí para hacer mi película.
Desde pequeña me he sentido atraída por las historias que exploran la emoción humana en su forma más cruda y poética. Mi cortometraje “Anestesia” nace de esa necesidad: contar la desconexión emocional y el dolor desde una mirada íntima, visual y sensible.
Me inspira mucho la película “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” por cómo mezcla estética, emoción y narrativa de forma única. Mi proyecto es un drama íntimo con tintes poéticos, y actualmente estoy en la fase de preproducción, buscando equipo apasionado que quiera sumarse al proyecto de forma colaborativa.
He trabajado previamente en escritura y dirección de cortometrajes, y estoy emocionada de aprender y compartir con otros cineastas comprometidos. Mi director favorito es Wes Anderson, y mi placer culpable para ver es cualquier película de romance o drama que me haga llorar y sentir.
Lo que me motiva a seguir adelante es la posibilidad de tocar corazones con historias que reflejan lo que muchas veces no se dice: el dolor, la vulnerabilidad y la conexión humana.
Estoy aquí para crear, compartir y construir algo auténtico junto a gente que ame el cine tanto como yo.
